Master's Degree in Initial Teacher Licensure


Teacher Licensure Year 1 focuses on licensure coursework including content methods, content literacy, and engaging learning environments. In addition, you will have one semester of student practicum and one semester of student teaching to earn 800 hours of school-based experiences that is required for Colorado licensure. As a student teacher, you will have a mentor teacher and a college supervising instructor who will work with you at your chosen placement location.

Teacher Licensure Year 2 includes coursework in instructional technology, teacher professional growth, and graduate research. You will have ongoing mentorship and support while teaching full-time during your second year of the program.
